Tornadoes in several states have left a trail of disaster and death during this, the 2021 holiday season.
While shoppers wonder where to find the perfect gift many tornado victims wonder where they will sleep tonight, where they can find something to eat, and whether their missing loved ones are alive or dead.
The news spotlight focuses attention on those affected by the disaster now and it is to be hoped that the rest of us will send help… please send cash, not old clothes; disaster assistance is not a chance  to clean out your closet but an opportunity to open your heart and wallet for something that makes a bigger difference than another inflatable lawn ornament.
And please do not forget these neighbors after the news spotlight turns to The Next Big Story….

Just because the story is no longer “news” does not mean that our neighbors don’t still need our help and our love.
